Developing and strengthening Transition Counseling and Postsecondary Preparation Programs and Services. Establishing institution-based parent and community education opportunities. Enhancing school programs through strategic partnerships focused on nurturing neurodiversity and inclusion for successful student outcomes. Providing recommendations, guidance and training to leadership team.
Professional Development & Teacher Training
Providing Professional Development and Teacher Training opportunities focused on supporting students with autism and learning and intellectual differences in mainstream and specialized environments. Guiding teachers and staff in developing inclusive practices based on the Universal Design for Learning framework.
Individual Transition Counseling
Counseling students and families in postsecondary planning and preparation for students with learning differences or autism. Working with teachers, staff, specialists and student advocates to engage student support team. Identifying resources, making recommendations, and guiding next steps toward "launch" of postsecondary plan.
